Who uses it....
It's normally used by professional Architects in
the commercial building trade where big buildings like sports arena's and shopping centres are
clad in it.
Thermowood is new to the garden building
industry and we are very pleased to announce that we are among some of the first to offer our
products in Thermowood.

Our customers can now choose to
have their whole building done in Thermowood, or just the wall cladding or just the windows and
doors, so everyone on every budget can afford the benefits from it's long life and
durability...

Let me
explain what makes it work so well....
PEFC Scandinavian Red wood is used to create
Thermowood but instead of going through the normal drying process it is heat treated which
potentially draws out the moisture and resin which restricts movement, shrinkage, swelling,
distortion and resin leakages which makes it less able to absorb moisture. Giving you a strong
hardy moisture resistant wood that need not be treated with anything unless you want to change
the colour.

Why we think it's a fantastic product....
It comes in a slightly darker NATURAL wood
colour so it's not green like Tanalised/pressure treated timber also Tanalised timber still
shrinks & bleeds resin, Thermowood doesn't. It also has an exceptional life span of 30 years
compared to 15 years for Tanalised even without additional wood treatments. Although the one
thing that makes it so great to us is we can make doors and windows out of it because unlike
Tanalised timber the cut edges are still protected. In our opinion using Thermowood on your
windows and doors is like having your windows and doors made out of hardwood or Upvc but for a
fraction of the cost. We are in fact going to have our own house windows made out of Thermowood
in the near future, that is how impressed we are with it.
